NAMS January 2023 Newsletter

Happy New Year to you all.  Did you know that National Compliment Day is January 24th ?

National Compliment Day helps promote others to be kind to those around them. Who doesn’t love a good compliment? It boosts your self-esteem, makes you feel great about yourself and overall puts you in a better mood.

Many studies have shown that compliments can have positive effects to the one receiving the compliment and the one giving it. Having such positive interactions between people can improve environments such as the workplace and the home.

Fun facts:

One study showed that receiving a compliment has the same effects as receiving cash reward

Smiling burns calories

Smiling causes less wrinkles than frowning

Those whose eyes wrinkle when smiling are more sincere

Why don’t you see how many peoples day you can make better by giving a compliment?
